Dale of Norway takes pride in its quality and craftsmanship. We want consumers to purchase our products with confidence and, subsequently, provide a warranty that covers defects in workmanship and materials; our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.


Our warranty covers materials and workmanship for up to 2 years; this time frame starts at the initial point of purchase. Garments that we determine display manufacturer defect, at our sole discretion, are eligible for repair or replacement. Any garment repairs or replacements issued within the 2 year allotment will only be covered for the remainder of the 2 year time frame detailed above.  


Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, which is out of our control. This warranty assures that the product purchased will work if used in a responsible manner and consistent with its intended purpose. Wear and tear typically includes but is not limited to: natural wear on materials and colors over extended use and time, accidents, moths (holes) and improper usage, storage, care, or washing. Some pilling is considered normal wear, and is easily removed with a wool razor or wool shaver. Any garments that have been altered forfeit any warranty coverage.



For evaluation of warranties, the consumer must return the purchased product directly to the authorized Dale of Norway dealer where the product was purchased, along with the original purchase receipt. Dale of Norway is the sole evaluator of warranty claims. The authorized dealer will then return the product directly to the Dale of Norway warranty department. By law, garments sent in for repair/evaluation need to be in clean condition. Only products found with manufacturer defects will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. The typical turnaround time is 4–6 weeks. In some cases, items may be returned sooner and in peak season (winter) it may take slightly longer. Dale of Norway will absorb the return shipping charges back to the customer for approved warranty items. Shipping charges for all non-warranty repairs are at the owner’s expense. Damage due to wear and tear will be evaluated and assessed on a case by case basis at our sole discretion. Items that we can repair on site will be repaired at a reasonable charge, to be absorbed by the customer. Dale of Norway is not liable for lost in-bound packages.
